JCPenney Bonus Bucks

Our CEO and marketing team developed a new reward program called JCPenney Bonus Bucks where customers could earn $10 rewards for every $50 spent online or in-store. The goal was to do a test run during the annual Father’s Day event and then continue to run it throughout the year into the holiday season.

The leadership team tasked me with developing the digital strategy for the Father’s Day launch which included Bonus Bucks earning and redemption on JCP.com and the JCP app. Working with our marketing, product, engineer and research partners we successfully launched the campaign on all channels and enhanced the program through the year.

A/B Value Message Fathers Day Test
We wanted to test if showing dynamic based value messaging performed better then a static generic message. We ran an A/B test during the Father’s Day event and found out that larger dynamic value message didn’t impact ATC rate but it did increase account signups by 16%-17%.
